Meet Tim Soltys

Tim Soltys is the Founder and Managing Broker of Online Brokers Inc., bringing more than four decades of experience across luxury residential, commercial, industrial, and investment real estate.
He began his real estate career in 1983 while completing a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Real Estate. Due to Illinois licensing requirements at the time, Tim became one of the youngest managing brokers in the state, a distinction earned through education, discipline, and early professional achievement.
Tim’s formative years in the business included working under Eli Sidwell in Charleston, Illinois, a respected industry leader who later served as Director of the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. He later joined RE/MAX, where his consistent performance and leadership were recognized with induction into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame.
In 2010, Tim founded Online Brokers Inc., creating a firm built on experience, integrity, and hands-on expertise. Throughout his career, he has designed and built multi-million-dollar luxury residences, owned and operated a construction company, developed apartment communities and condominium projects, represented commercial and industrial properties, and acquired, improved, and repositioned investment real estate.
Tim is known for his strategic insight and problem-solving approach, combining deep market knowledge with construction and development expertise to deliver thoughtful solutions and exceptional results.
Outside of real estate, Tim has long embraced discipline and endurance. A former high school swim team captain, he went on to become approximately the 400th Ironman triathlete worldwide and has completed the Chicago Marathon and other endurance events.
Today, Tim enjoys time with his grandchildren and works alongside his son-in-law, an emerging real estate professional and valued member of the Online Brokers Inc. team—continuing a tradition of mentorship, excellence, and long-term vision.
